The Journey to Healing

The Holy Road to Recovery

We need Jesus.

We are sin sick, diseased within our souls and the only thing that can heal us is Jesus (Psalm 38:3) .

After I prayed, I was directed to listen to content by Jerry Flowers. I wasn’t quite sure what to listen to, but I ended up listening to a YouTube Short by Jerry Flowers. And he said healing is a journey and that resonated with me. Healing is a journey of removing the original wounds and the subsequent damage that was incurred. It’s like having a festering scab that seems to comeback whenever you are triggered by something or someone in your environment.

This is being revealed to me in my own healing journey, where God has been showing me the damage that is within me and how I have allowed that to damage others. He is El Roi, the God the sees the parts we simply cannot see. Jeremiah 17:9 AMP says,

“The heart is deceitful above all things

And it is [a]extremely sick;

Who can understand it fully and know its secret motives?”

Jesus sees the parts of us that we hide consciously or subconsciously. Deep, inner healing is necessary to live victoriously and for some of us, me included, it may be a process we go through for a lifetime.

The good news is that none of the hurt or healing will go to waste. It Is through this process that Romans 8:28 comes to life. God will work it out for our good and for the good of those who are around you. Take heart and know that through Him you can overcome the hurt, the pain, the shame and the guilt and finally live free.

John 8:36 AMP

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
